the4color came to us with a rich archive of photographs and a clear goal: build a custom site that draws visitors into the work — and makes them stay.

the challenge was to create a digital experience that felt as curated and intentional as the portfolio itself. Squarespace was the chosen platform, but off-the-shelf templates couldn’t deliver the level of customization or visual storytelling the project demanded.

from fluid gallery layouts to subtle transitions and animation details, we crafted a custom front-end inside the Squarespace framework — keeping the site lightweight, fast, and mobile-friendly while making every image feel part of a broader narrative.

We built a modular gallery system inside Squarespace that lets The 4 Color showcase diverse creative projects — from editorial shoots to campaign work — in totally different layouts, all editable by the client.

This flexibility means new projects can be added in minutes, while preserving the bespoke look and feel across the site.
